ALGIERS- Some 52,295 traders have complied with the permanence device decided on the second day of Aid El-Adha, said Thursday a press release from the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion.
“As part of the program set to ensure permanence during the days of Aid El-Adha, the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion noted, Thursday, the commitment of 52,295 traders to carry out their commercial activities on the the whole of the national territory during the 2nd day of Aid El-Adha”, specifies the press release.
In addition, the ministry indicated that 30 traders had not honored their commitment, and this in nine (9) wilayas, namely Algiers (2), Batna (7), Bouira (7), El Oued (1) , Mostaganem (1), Sétif (6), Jijel (1), El Taref (3) and finally Skikda (2).
The ministry, in this sense, addressed “its thanks to all the employees of the sector who watched over the operations of control of the permanence program on the 2nd day of this blessed occasion”, welcoming in this regard “their continuous efforts”.
“Some 52,259 traders had ensured permanence on the 1st day of Aid El-Adha, while 66 others nationwide did not honor their commitment”, recalls the same source.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion has mobilized 52,325 traders to ensure the permanence of Eid El-Adha and the supply of widely consumed food products.
