Reagle Leads With Fourth-Place Finish
Jaden Reagle spearheaded the Mercyhurst effort, securing a fourth-place finish in the 165-pound weight class. reagle initiated his impressive run with a major decision victory over Jeremiah Mitchell of Thiel College. Despite a subsequent loss, he battled his way through the consolation bracket, earning a technical fall win and a narrow 2-1 decision against Gannon University’s John Watson.
Reagle continued his momentum, defeating Christian Friel of John Carroll University 9-5, propelling him to the third-place match. Ultimately, he forfeited the match, concluding his performance with a commendable fourth-place standing.

Several other Mercyhurst wrestlers delivered strong showings at the Jamestown Open. Colin Scherer demonstrated resilience in the 149-pound bracket, initially winning two matches by decision with scores of 7-1 and 4-1 before encountering a setback in the quarterfinals.
Scherer rebounded effectively, securing two further decision victories before falling short in the consolation semifinals. Xavier Dombkowski also contested the 149-pound division, ultimately facing Scherer in a hard-fought match. Edwin Mooney registered a pinfall win in the 133-pound bracket against Keon Gavin of Garrett College, showcasing his offensive capabilities.
Additional Lakers Contribute
Jake LeClerc, competing in the 184-pound bracket, secured a pinfall victory in the consolation round after an initial defeat. Joshua Johnson-Cantrell also added a pinfall win to the team’s tally, while Gino Guerrisi accumulated wins by fall and decision in the heavyweight bracket before being eliminated in the fourth round of the consolation bracket. Keith Mincin also competed in the 165 lbs bracket, and Noah Adamson wrestled in the 149 lbs bracket.
