María Elena Villasmil, mayor of Andrés Bello, reported that a culvert of about 13 meters fell, dragging with it at least two thirds of the road, leaving the southern area of the municipality incommunicado, affecting the passability of the large number of agricultural producers and inhabitants. of the area.
Rescue groups, Civil Protection, police officials together with municipal authorities reported on the situation, requesting help from regional and national authorities, since due to the magnitude of the damage it is beyond municipal possibilities.
For his part, the governor of Mérida Jehyson Guzmán ordered the evaluation of the damage to resolve the situation in the shortest time possible.
