Doha: French club PSG has landed in Qatar with world football superstars, including Lionel Messi, Neymar and Killian Mbabane. The team members arrived in Qatar on Sunday afternoon for a two-day tour. He will take part in various events, including a visit to the World Cup Stadium.
The team’s arrival comes on Saturday night with a 4-0 victory over Montpellier in the French League. Lionel Messi scored two goals and was instrumental in the victory.
PSG had earlier secured their 10th league title. The visit to Qatar, which is all set for the year – end World Cup, will also be crucial in drawing the attention of world stars and fans.
PSG, which had planned to arrive in Qatar in mid-season last January, was postponed due to the Omicron expansion. Earlier, PSG officials had said that the team would visit two World Cup stadiums. The club will also participate in events hosted by Aspartar, Ooredoo, Qatar Airways, Qatar Tourism and QNB ALL.
