Reports indicated that Messi decided to give those who helped him win the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ a special gift, as gold-plated iPhones were chosen.
The cost of the estimated 35 devices will be approximately 175,000 pounds sterling.
The sources indicate that each device (iPhone 14) will be plated with 24-karat gold.
Messi did not deny that he was deeply affected by his crowning of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ title, as he made it clear on Monday, following winning the Best in the World Award granted by the International Federation of Football Associations, that the World Cup title was the most important in his career.
Messi said: “Until now, I did not understand what we did and how our fans enjoyed the title. This was the most important title that I lacked and I wanted to win it.”
