Many have noticed that the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 Steam page states that there is no keyboard and mouse support. This upset PC players, but Konami hastened to please the good news – this type of control will be partially implemented. It was the feedback from fans that forced the company to reconsider its plans to add keyboard and mouse controls. Subsequently, Konami answered the question of journalists and clarified the details. As it turns out, Metal Gear Solid and older games from the MSX and NES platforms will only get keyboard support, as they either have a 2D perspective or barely use a first-person view. In Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, the keyboard will remain the main control method, but some functions will be tied to the mouse. Only Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will receive full keyboard and mouse support. Konami also announced that the collection will also visit the PlayStation 4. It is stated that the release will be digital, but its date is unknown. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 will release on October 24 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. Previously, Konami said that there would be no changes in the plot, and journalists shared their impressions of the collection on Switch.
