Metro traffic was disrupted from 12 p.m. this Wednesday on lines 1 and 5, between Beekkant and Arts-Loi.
According to the Stib, it was a release of smoke on the tracks of the Gare Centrale station which was the cause of the disturbances. The Central Station was also evacuated. But no major incidents have been reported.
Stib recommended lines 2 and 6 as alternatives as well as bus and tram lines. Before announcing around 1:45 p.m. that traffic had resumed.
