Through a statement, the family of Eugenio Derbez confirmed the state of health of the Mexican actor and comedian, following suffering a serious accident a few days ago.
Alessandra Rosaldo, Derbez’s wife, said he is fine, however the injuries he suffered are delicate, so he will undergo surgery in the next few hours. “The operation is complicated, but it does not compromise his health,” she said.
He also said that the recovery process will be long. and will require several weeks of rest to then start a treatment of rehabilitation therapies.
“Eugenio will be recovering and perhaps for a while he will be away from his social networks and the media”, added Rolsando, who thanked her husband’s followers for the signs of affection they have shown in the last few hours.
At the moment, Alessandra has not specified what type of accident Derbez suffered or which parts of the body were compromised by the injuries, nor did she say where the accident occurred.
The actor is remembered for participating in productions such as No Returns, The Valet, Man Overboard, among other. In addition, she will be in the second season of the series Acapulco of Apple TV + that will be released on October 21.
