Mi Hazánk nominates professor Magdolna Csath, economist, university professor, as the new president of the Republic, announced the post on X in his video László Toroczkai. “With the person of Magdolna Csath, she would be a president of the republic of Hungary who is above the parties and has already proven her career, so we trust that the nomination of the professor will be supported by other parties,” said the president of Mi Hazánk. In his interview with Telex, Toroczkai said earlier that he had discussed with Magdolna Csath when compiling the European Parliament election list.
Katalin Novák presented the middle cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to the professor, who ran in the parliamentary elections as a candidate of the MIÉP in 2002, on March 15 last year.
In March, the Parliament will elect a new President of the Republic, after Katalin Novák resigned from the post on Saturday. After the parliament officially accepts the resignation of the President of the Republic, László Kövér calls the presidential election, which must be held within thirty days. The nomination requires the recommendation of at least one fifth of the parliament members (40 representatives), so Mi Hazánk cannot nominate a candidate for president of the republic on its own.
