Guitar magician Sophie Lloyd created a version shred instrumental of “Beat It” by Michael Jackson.
While the original track – from the ‘Thriller’ album which turns 40 this year – is famous for the incredible solo ofEddie Van Halen, Sophie Lloyd decided to spice things up even more and reinvented the song by replacing the melody of each verse and chorus with razor-sharp guitar riffs, as well as a revamped solo, embellished with nice personal touches.
This new reimagining by the guitarist is one of many covers focusing on the shred that she offers his YouTube channel. The musician with 806,000 subscribers publishes covers of Def Leppard, Muse, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses and many others.
Lloyd has been offering her covers for over 10 years now, and has become a renowned musician and social media influencer.
