Michel Van den Brande is not unknown in Flanders: the man gained a certain notoriety thanks to the television program “The Sky is the Limit” on Play 4, in the north of the country.
According to the daily Het Laatste Nieuws, his arrest was the consequence of death threats made on Facebook against a former employee whom he suspects of fraud.
This boss posted several messages on Facebook last month about a former employee who allegedly defrauded his company. In his publications, he made threats against his former colleague and called him an “outlaw”. Mr Van den Brande also mentioned the full name and address of his ex-employee, before posting photos of his home. According to Mr Van den Brande, the man, who was in charge of accounting, was embezzling money from his business.
The prosecution confirmed the arrest, but did not provide further details on the facts concerned. Mr. Van den Brande will be heard and presented to the investigating judge in Dendermonde.
