In 2024, Schumi Jr. will once again only sit on the bench and at the same time compete in the WEC endurance series for Alpine. He wants to recommend himself for a permanent cockpit in Formula 1. Finally, some contracts expire in 2024.
Mick Schumacher is often associated with AlphaTauri. Peter Bayer, new CEO of AlphaTauri, explained in an interview with “Motorsport Magazin”: “I think Mick is currently in a difficult situation because these decisions are made very quickly. Each driver is assigned to a certain plan. Mick was first a Ferrari driver, now on paper he is a Mercedes driver. You always have to keep this dynamic in mind.”
