micro SD card no longer recognized

Hallo,
I have a huge problem with my micro SD card, it’s a Samsung 250GB evo plus U3 A2 V30. I’ve had it since March of this year. I took pictures and video yesterday. In the evening it was displayed in the pictures File format not supported or file damaged. This morning when I turned it on, I was supposed to format the SD card, or cancel if I wanted to keep the data. I pressed cancel and later I saw in the gallery that no more pictures were displayed. Connected to PC with USB, no SD card shown… Installed in another phone, same…

With a micro SD adapter and card reader, I was now able to access it and save the data.

But how do I proceed then? I can’t even format it in my cell phone, that was gone too.
Then format normally via Windows?
Is there anything else I need to consider?
And I wonder how something like this might even happen, where the problem lies that it is no longer recognized on mobile phones.

Thanks very much!
Greetings Ronny
