While the process of acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft is still ongoing, a first country has just positioned itself on the subject, it is Saudi Arabia.
A new step in a long process
It is the general authority of competition of Saudi Arabia which pronounced today on the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. She simply indicated in the press that she had no objection to the subject.
The General Competition Authority announces that it has no objection to completing the process of economic concentration between:
- Microsoft Corporation
- Activision Blizzard, Inc.
If the news will certainly be welcomed by Microsoft, the road is not yet finished since other authorities have yet to decide on the subject, starting with the European Commission or the FTC in the United States. It is also possible that the FTC might rule on the subject from the end of August if it does not have more information to request from Microsoft following the latest responses from the American company.
