Microsoft launches a Facebook clone for Teams – ICT news

A new social hub in the Teams app should encourage employees to share info and interests.

In the United States, Microsoft has launched Viva Engage, an app integrated into Teams, which is very similar to Facebook and which aims to strengthen social networks within the company. The app in question is clearly inspired by the software of Yammer, a small company that publishes software for creating communities and which was bought regarding ten years ago by Microsoft.

The Viva Engage app stands out above all for its strong resemblance to a stripped down version of Facebook. There is a news feed for your stories, conversations, videos, photos, etc. The app seems above all to have been designed to become a mini-social network at work.
