A Microsoft announced todayofficially, support for Password keys (Passkeys) for all consumer accounts, who can now log in without having to enter a password every time.
Thus, it is possible to create access keys for your Microsoft account using your device’s biometric authentication method (Face ID or Touch ID, for example), PIN or a security key (whose support in mobile apps will be launched in the next weeks).
Support for Passkeys has been implemented across both Microsoft apps and websites, including services like Microsoft 365 (formerly Office), Copilot, as well as the Edge browser on desktop and mobile devices.
