Windows 11 22H2 should be available in the coming months and will bring a number of big changes to the operating system, including new Start menu folders, updated touch gestures, and drag-and-drop for the taskbar. It has been now several months that we wait for a version to be available for testingand it is now.

Indeed, Insiders in the Release Preview channel can now get the final build, build 22621, via the Windows Insider option in the Windows Update section of Windows 11. Additionally, the update is also available to enterprises enrolled in the Windows Insider Program for Business Release Preview channel, as well as through Windows Server Update Service and Azure Marketplace.

Windows 11 22H2 is coming soon for all users

The deployment of the update is a very important step, since it indicates that the development of this version is almost finished. The Release Preview is the last step in the development phase of Windows before it is made available to the public as a stable version. As of now, only bug fixes and minor updates should be deployed for this version of Windows 11, since all the new features have already been added.

After the update, Insiders will continue to receive new service updates through Windows Update. So expect Microsoft to roll out Patch Tuesday next week, which will mark the first official Windows 11 Sun Valley 2 update.

The final version is expected in the fall of 2022.. We will therefore have to wait several more months before all users can take advantage of the new features. Be that as it may, we remind you that this update is not viewed very favorably by all users, since it will impose 35 native applications. Fortunately, the vast majority of them will be quite simple to uninstall.
