Microsoft has signed an agreement to retain the Call of Duty franchise on the Sony PlayStation platform, moving closer to completing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft is trying to allay regulators’ concerns that the merger deal might push more Activision games to switch to Microsoft’s subsidiary X BOX.

This comes at a time when the United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority extended the deadline for its review of the $69 billion merger from the 18th of this month to the 29th of August.
