The Chilean Foreign Minister, Alberto van Klaveren, confirmed that a plane will arrive at the Chilean airport, which will repatriate 150 Venezuelan migrants. The cost required for this mobilization, will be financed by the Government of Venezuela.

At dawn on Sunday, May 7, a Venezuelan plane will arrive at the Arica airport. “A fairly large group of migrants who are stranded at the border” will return to their country.

The plane will be owned by a private airline, which will be paid for by the Venezuelan government. In the case of Peru, the possibility of having return flights to the homeland would have already been advanced, but so far there are no deadlines.

“All the mechanisms are being seen if they send their aircraft, or if aircraft leave from here. All this will be carried out for the just right that the Venezuelan citizen has, What is being able to return to your country?“. Said the Minister of Defense, Jorge Chávez Cresta.
