Mikati directs the Supreme Relief Council to help the victims

The caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, asked the “Higher Relief Commission” to help the residents of the building that collapsed in the Dahr al-Maghar locality, in the al-Qubba area, in the city of Tripoli, this followingnoon.

In the meantime, vehicles belonging to the Tripoli municipality (bulldozers) arrived to assist in the process of removing rubble and stones and rescuing those trapped under the rubble of the 4-storey building.

According to the information circulated, the accident caused at least 3 injuries, while no casualties were reported, noting that rumors circulate on social media platforms regarding the fall of two victims (mother and daughter).

While the search for the missing persons continues, army units cordon off the building and prevent citizens from approaching it.
