Mike Hoffman: “a bag of problems”

What to do with forwards Mike Hoffman and Evgenii Dadonov?

The two veterans of the Montreal Canadiens have not been the most hardworking since the start of the campaign, far from it, and their presence in the training is starting to make a lot of talk.

If it were possible to exchange them, we bet that general manager Kent Hughes would have already taken action, but the reality is that no one wants them through the National Hockey League.

“The more you make them play, the more they are exposed because they are not working,” said Tony Marinaro at JiC, Wednesday evening. These are hot potatoes.

“Hoffman is a bag of problems, it’s a basket of crabs, added Jean-Charles Lajoie. He is on the fourth line and the next step is waivers to send him to Laval.

Former CH players Guillaume Latendresse and Maxim Lapierre agree with Marinaro and Lajoie.

“Hoffman and Dadonov, I put both in the same basket, said Latendresse. I would rather see a Michael Pezzetta or a Rafaël Harvey-Pinard in training. Let’s find a solution.”

Everyone is of the opinion that the Habs should pay the salary of Dadonov or Hoffman in the American League.

“Guys like Hoffman, that’s not what sells your culture in the locker room, continued Lapierre. He’s a one-dimensional guy, I’m not saying he’s a bad guy or a bad player, but to win Stanley Cups, is he the right player?
