A statement issued by the armed forces said that a group of takfiri elements attacked the water lifting point east of the canal, and the elements charged with working at the point clashed and confronted them, which resulted in the death of an officer and 10 soldiers, and the injury of 5 individuals. Terrorist elements are being chased and besieged in one of the isolated areas in Sinai.
This came according to what was stated by Colonel Arkan Harb Gharib Abdel Hafez Gharib, the official military spokesman for the Armed Forces, on his official Facebook page.
The armed forces affirmed their continued efforts to eradicate terrorism and uproot it.
