Platform X must pay off $5 million in debt to resume service in Brazil. This emerges from a court document from the Supreme Court.
The fines are $3.4 million and an additional fine of $1.8 million. This came about because X was temporarily available to some users in Brazil last week.
X was banned almost a month ago because X didn’t want to moderate hate speech and false reports. In addition, X had not named a new legal representative for Brazil.
