As soon as he saw the apartment for the first time, the architect Roby Macedo I knew this would be your home. The 190m² layout was still very different from what she imagined, but she was able to completely visualize the huge potential of the plant, and there was nothing else: he bought the apartment and, soon after, developed the interior project to immediately begin a total reform.

The project’s prerogative was a space with cross ventilation and a beautiful sea view of São Luís, with integration generous look and a touch of industrial in your style. Valentine’s House: What was your first contact with the apartment like?

Roby Macedo: It was love at first sight. Right away, I saw the full potential of this apartment to make our wishes come true. As soon as we closed the purchase, I developed the interior project to immediately begin a complete renovation of all the rooms, because we wanted to move in with everything finished.

Valentine’s House: What was the main idea of the project?

Roby Macedo: The main idea was to have all rooms with a view of the sea and facilitate cross ventilation between them.

Valentine’s House: And how did you choose the furniture?

Roby Macedo: We chose new furniture with a discreet design so as not to conflict with the pieces from our collection that we wanted to use. Jader Almeida’s stools, for example, help to highlight the kitchen counter, while the island sofa in the TV room was upholstered with white fabric to brighten the space.”
