After an error in the ASVG amendment was corrected in the spring, the process of additional payments is now complete, said a spokesman for Social Affairs Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens).
The SPÖ-affiliated pensioners’ association, which drew attention to this, criticized the duration of the repairs.
In addition to the increase of 5.8 percent at the beginning of the year, the retirees received a one-time payment at the beginning of March that was decided with the adjustment. Minimum pensioners were disadvantaged at that time. The reason for this was an error in the legal text, which the government already acknowledged in March – as well as an additional payment for the approximately 200,000 affected recipients of compensatory allowances.
The corresponding repair of the law took place in the spring.
