MINISTER of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi denied the issue of estranged relations between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto.
“Where? There’s no such issue. Solid, solid!” said Budi when met at the gate of Prabowo Subianto’s residence, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/4).
Budi said that during the open house at the State Palace, Prabowo came to meet the President so that there was no visible estrangement in the relationship between the two.
For this reason, he asked that there be no more rumors circulating to pit various parties against each other, especially Prabowo and Jokowi, who are the two national leaders.
“Don’t pit Pak Prabowo and Pak Jokowi against each other, it’s futile,” he said.
In the future, Budi hopes that the Indonesian people can continue to be harmonious so that he can encourage leaders in Indonesia to live in harmony and think about the fate of the nation and people. Moreover, Indonesia is a big country, national unity is important.

In this way, he admitted that he would be happy if there would be political reconciliation after the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) even though this is the prerogative of the elected president.
Indonesian Minister of Defense and presidential candidate-elect Prabowo Subianto opened the doors of his house on Jalan Kertanegara Number 4, Jakarta, Wednesday, for halalbihalal activities which were attended by most government officials.
However, it was not only government officials who visited Prabowo’s residence, but there were also members of the public, including volunteers who supported candidate pair number 2 during the 2024 presidential election.
Apart from invited guests not being allowed to enter the residence, people just wait in the yard, which is currently full of cars carrying officials.
Even so, Prabowo took the time to go out at around 16.00 WIB, then encountered several volunteers who had been waiting in front of the residence since Wednesday afternoon. (Z-8)
