The MINISTRY of Agriculture through the Directorate General of Plantations in collaboration with the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) has again opened the selection for the 2024 Palm Oil Plantation Human Resources Development Scholarship (SDMPKS). Registration for this scholarship is open from April 5 to May 24 2024, this year the quota 3000 people, and there is no charge.
Director General of Plantations Andi Nur Alam Syah said that the palm oil scholarship program with support from BPDPKS provides educational opportunities, especially for those directly involved in the palm oil industry, as well as proof of the government’s commitment to developing quality human resources in the Indonesian palm oil sector.
“This scholarship is a scholarship designed to produce superior human resources in the palm oil sector. It is hoped that through this educational program, palm oil scholarship HR graduates will strengthen the Indonesian palm oil industry, and Indonesian palm oil can continue to develop sustainably and provide social and economic benefits for the community ,” said Andi Nur.
For information, the scholarship facilities provided include transportation costs from home to campus (Go-Round/PP), pocket money, book money, education costs, internship at a palm oil company, competency certification and graduation fees.
“We hope that this program can continue to produce a young generation of palm oil planters who can consistently improve the palm oil industry in Indonesia and the world,” hoped Andi Nur.
Andi Nur further said, 2024 will be the 4th year of collaboration between the Directorate General of Plantations and the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), which started in 2021, to date, a total of 3,660 students have received scholarships at the D1 level, D2, D3, D4 and S1. In the future, S2 and S3 levels will be opened. (Z-8)
