A source at the Ministry of Health and Population revealed that about 3 medical convoys, including all specialties, were sent to Qena today, Monday; To assist doctors in treating patients of Al-Aleqat village in Qena Governorate.

The source explained to Masrawy that the analyzes that were withdrawn were sent to the central laboratories to determine the nature of the patients that affected a number of citizens.

The Ministry of Health and Population had previously said that it was following up on complaints related to the emergence of similar symptoms among a number of citizens in the village of Al-Aleqat in Qena Governorate.

She explained that teams from preventive and therapeutic medicine and epidemiological surveillance were sent to investigate the complaint, and samples were taken from patients and environmental samples.

The ministry added that disease vector control teams were sent, and samples of water and sewage places were examined, and the numbers of similar complaints were counted, explaining that the symptoms do not form a uniform pattern, and all symptoms range from mild to moderate, and do not require hospitalization.

The Ministry stated that the similar symptoms were high fever, bone pain, and fatigue, and it lasted from 3 to 5 days, and they are common symptoms of many common diseases such as cold and influenza, gastroenteritis and fever, which spread in conjunction with high weather temperatures. It disappears with rest, fever reducers, and drinking fluids.
