The media office at the Ministry of Public Health denounced the “unjustified attack this morning on the emergency department at Abdullah Al-Rassi Hospital – Halba Governmental Hospital,” and called on “the competent authorities to take the necessary legal and punitive measures against the attackers.”
And he stressed that “the medical and nursing staff are carrying out their medical and humanitarian duties to the fullest, despite the extremely difficult circumstances that Lebanon is going through, and for that they deserve support and thanks instead of exposing them to risks for reasons that they do not bear responsibility at all.”
He pointed out, “It is unacceptable to cause damage to hospital and health centers, to incur losses and to stop them from working, at a time when there is an urgent need for their continuity of work and reception of citizens around the clock.”
