The Operations Room of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade is monitoring the extent of the commercial chains’ commitment to the initiative to reduce the prices of basic commodities, as it indicated the regularity of pumping goods into the outlets and offering them to citizens at reduced prices from 15 to 25%. Coordination is also being done with the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
On the other hand, the Holding Company for Food Industries, affiliated with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, pumps goods into the outlets in addition to providing vegetables and fruits daily at reduced prices ranging from 20 to 25%, as the Ministry offers the products in the branches of affiliated companies in the various governorates.
Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, directed the directorates of the directorates to intensify monitoring campaigns on the markets, and to ensure the availability of all food products and commodities in coordination with the concerned authorities.
