Al-Moselhi added, in his meeting with journalist Khaled Abu Bakr, on the “Every Day” program broadcast on ON channel, that the Ministry of Supply has developed a program to pump Sugar In the distribution chains in the previous period, 65 thousand tons were disbursed at supply outlets every month. It also made sure to put free sugar on the ration cards in light of the presence of more than 40 thousand food outlets in light of creating more channels for distribution at the level of the Republic.
The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade explained that the Ministry of Supply has approved 100,000 tons of sugar-producing companies contracted with the government for the commercial part, in addition to 65,000 tons for supply, 30,000 tons for the free part on ration cards, 40,000 tons for industry, and 30,000 tons for distribution chains. And 25 thousand tons for the governorates’ balance, he continued: “To date, there are 245 thousand tons of sugar that have moved on the market in the last 3 weeks.”
