Minsal reports a 32% drop in covid cases in the last 14 days: positivity is 11.43% | National

Active Case Search

Of the 2,241 new cases, 60% are diagnosed by antigen test, 32% are caused by Active Case Search (BAC) and 12% of those notified are asymptomatic.

While the Metropolitan region presents 53% for antigen, 34% for BAC and 11% of the reported cases are asymptomatic.

According to the sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Los Lagos.

On the other hand, the Atacama region has the highest current incidence rate per 100 thousand inhabitants, followed by Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá and Magallanes.

According to the report this Saturday, of the 2,241 new cases of coronavirus, 1,340 correspond to symptomatic people and 188 do not present symptoms.

ICU and deceased

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 25 deaths from causes associated with covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 62,708 in the country.

To date, 126 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 81 are supported by mechanical ventilation.

In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 261 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.

Diagnostic capacity and Health Residences

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 14,375 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 47,283,225 analyzed nationwide to date.

The positivity for the last 24 hours in the Metropolitan region is 12.11%.

Regarding the Sanitary Residences, there are 13 lodging facilities available, with a total of 782 beds. The real occupancy at the national level is 33%, leaving a total of 356 beds available for use.
