“The call center of the Vietnamese BIDV reported that they no longer accept cards of the Russian payment system “Mir” BIDV continues to service VISA, Mastercard, Western Union, JCB, UnionPay cards, but the Mir payment system is not on this list. The People’s Bank of Kazakhstan (Halyk Bank) also stopped accepting Mir cards. It is specified that Russian cards are not serviced either through terminals or through ATMs.

Against the background of sanctions from the West, the international payment systems Visa and Mastercard decided to about stopping work in Russia, citizens of the Russian Federation also lost the opportunity to make purchases abroad.
