Despite a stay in hospital, his condition continued to deteriorate. Due to lack of sufficient financial means, her family decided to take her home. This Monday, February 12, her husband noticed that she was no longer opening her eyes and that she was no longer breathing. He therefore made the decision to cremate her in a funeral pyre: “We thought she was dead and informed other people in the village to organize a hearse.”
On the way to the cremation, the woman suddenly woke up. “She opened her eyes and answered us. We were shocked,” said a neighbor of the couple. “When we could confirm she was alive, we took her home in the hearse.”
