Not many people expect to have their hair burnt off when they go to the hairdresser – but that’s exactly what happened to the artist Linda “Miss Li” Karlsson.

In the radio program “Rix Morronzoo” led by Roger Nordin and Laila Bagge, the artist tells that she had gone to a hairdresser who usually only does men’s hair.

– Then I came and wanted huge platinum blonde hair so she started bleaching my hair and then my hair started to burn. The mixture is really strong and it started to smoke.

Miss Li says that the first thing the hairdresser did was run to the door to start airing out.

– I sit and scream and say: “It’s starting to hurt quite a bit here”. After a while she fetched a small water bottle but a bucket would have been needed. It hurt so much.

The hairdresser later sorted out the situation.

– Then the hair started falling out, big tests.

Men:

– When she has blow-dried and everything, it turned out gorgeous.

“Began to seep where”

Miss Li didn’t realize at the time how much hair had actually disappeared – so she paid.

– I pay, say nothing and go home and it starts to ooze everywhere and I have second degree burns. I am so well brought up, I pay, I don’t complain, she says.

– Yes, I had to take a full course of penicillin afterwards. I still have a five kroner where nothing grows that I have to comb over, says the artist on the radio.
