“I don’t really know what happened, she (Mariana) explained to me a part which was that there was a confusion on her part in the interpretation,” explained the director of Miss Dominican Republic through a broadcast on Instagram.
Magali highlighted that near the stage there is a person with a glove that indicates where the candidates have to go, and this led to confusion.
“There is a person who stands with a glove and tells you to go left or right. I think we had already seen that in a previous video where she saw herself asking where she had to go, whether to the right or to the left,” she added.
She took the opportunity to make it clear that it is a situation that is impossible to control, neither the public nor she as director can do so.
In his brief explanation, he detailed that he tried to stop Mariana from leaving the stage, but it was too late.
“In my experience, I think Mariana entered because the evaluation reached the point where she stopped,” he clarified.

The Miss Universe 2023 preliminary was held last Thursday night at the Alfonso Pineda gym in San Salvador.

In a previous video, the director of Miss RD had already referred to the criticism of Mariana’s participation, highlighting that “no one can criticize her participation.”
