Missile fired accidentally during Indian Army exercise in Rajasthan – World

A missile was accidentally fired during a military exercise in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

A missile was misfired during a firing exercise by the Indian Army at the Pokhran Field firing range in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer on Saturday, ANI reported.

Defense spokesman Amitabh Sharma said the missile exploded in the air and debris fell in adjacent fields.

He said that the incident took place during the annual field firing exercises of the army at PFFR, but no loss of life or property was reported.

Besides, he said that the investigation of the matter is ongoing.

This is not the first time that the Indian Army has witnessed such a missile launch.

It should be remembered that on March 9, 2022, the BrahMos missile was mistakenly fired in Pakistani territory, the Indian government took action in this matter and dismissed 3 officers of the Indian Air Force (IAF) following an inquiry.
