Vallenilla was last seen in the Libertador municipality, near the maternity hospital.
Police forces were alerted about a corpse on the banks of the Guaire River in Caracas, at the height of Pablo Sexto in Petare.
Upon arriving at the site, they discovered that it was an official of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Erick Vallenilla, who had been missing since Sunday, October 2.
Vallenilla was last seen in the Libertador municipality, near the maternity hospital.
So far the cause of death is unknown. Detectives from the Investigations, Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc) began the investigations.
