The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help in finding a sexagenarian who has been missing since Friday in Landrienne, Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
Mario Lapointe, 61, disappeared late afternoon after leaving his home, the SQ reported on Saturday in a press release.
He is said to be traveling in a vehicle, a gray 2009 Nissan Altima, registration G97 YTS, and may be in the Northeastern Ontario region.
Those close to him have reason to fear for his health and safety.
Mr. Lapointe is 1.75 meters (5 feet 8 inches) tall and weighs 68 kg (150 pounds). He has brown hair and eyes. He would also have some speech difficulties.
Anyone who sees this individual is asked to contact 911 or, confidentially, the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec, at 1 800 659-4264.
