The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help to find a teenager in Val-d’Or, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
Magwa Papatie, 13, was last seen around 2:40 p.m. on 6th avenue in Val-d’Or. He would travel on foot and could be in the Val-d’Or sector or in the communities of Lac Simon or Kitcisakik.
His relatives have reason to fear for his health and safety, police said.
The young man is 1.57 meters (5 feet 2 inches) tall and weighs 50 kg (110 pounds). He has black hair and eyes.
He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with a black coat, black pants and red shoes.
Anyone who sees Magwa Papatie is asked to contact 911. In addition, any information that could lead to his finding can be communicated, confidentially, to the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.
