Authorities in Alabama announced the discovery of a woman who had been reported missing following she called 911 and a family member to report a child walking on an interstate highway.
Through a statement, Hoover police reported shortly before 11 pm Saturday that Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell was found alive at her home.
The officer said Russell returned home alone and was transported to a nearby hospital following police arrived at her residence.
Russell had been reported missing on Thursday following he called 911 and a family member to report a young child walking on I-459 shortly following 9:30 p.m., police said.
Russell’s condition is unknown at this time. Police did not release any further details regarding the case.
Hoover is a city of regarding 92,000 inhabitants located in the Birmingham area, south of the city.
