In this role, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our programs in the French Atlantic Zone. You will work directly with program coordinators, providing valuable support in project design, implementation, and monitoring.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a Program Assistant, you will contribute to a range of essential tasks, including:

  • Contributing to project design, ensuring relevance, quality, and effective implementation.
  • Supporting program managers by providing technical expertise and implementing activities on the ground.
  • Participating in project monitoring and evaluation, reporting on progress and providing insights for improvement.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with partners, fostering collaboration and successful program delivery.
  • Managing logistics and financial resources effectively, ensuring responsible resource allocation.
  • Supporting the recruitment of volunteer staff, carrying on-boarding and training as required.
  • Your Qualifications and Expertise:

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to humanitarian work and a passion for improving access to essential resources:

  • University studies in a relevant field such as Development, Water and Sanitation, Project Management, Environmental Health, Political Science or a scientific field.
  • Knowledge of Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation practices is highly beneficial, with past experience in the humanitarian field being a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and familiarity with GIS software such as QGIS or Earth.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills for effective reporting and communication.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with French is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
