Mitsubishi Electric promotes educational competition in the country
The MECA Brasil educational competition, promoted worldwide by Mitsubishi Electric, reaches the final stretch. The first edition in the country had around 150 educational institutions invited, with more than 60 registered projects and 15 finalists, selected by an examining committee from different areas of the company. On November 8th, two projects will win the award – one for undergraduate courses and the other for technical education. The awards event will be broadcast live, at 5pm, on the company’s social networks.

The two winning teams will win industrial robots – which will be donated to the educational institution – while the students will win the opportunity to intern at Mitsubishi Electric. In addition, students will also receive individual prizes, which include notebooks, trophies and backpacks.
In the selection, criteria such as creativity and innovation of the projects were applied, in addition to ease of operation and viability, as well as the teaching method used by each team for its presentation, with well-defined work, including drawings and diagrams for full understanding by the committee. .
“We are very satisfied with the good level of the projects, as well as with the plurality of solutions. The members of the examination committee also positively evaluated the interaction with the teams during the support sessions. The experience in promoting completely free competition in an emerging market is being highly productive and has everything to be the first of many”, highlights Fabiano Lourenço, President of Mitsubishi Electric Brasil.
Solutions for industries
The projects include solutions for various industrial sectors, such as agribusiness, sustainability, logistics, among others. “We found that the teams are connected with the main trends in the Industry, making the most of the functionalities of our products, and well aligned with the job market of which they will soon be part,” says Fabiano.
During the awards event, competitors and guests will be able to visit the company’s mobile showroom – the MEB Truck – and learn more about industrial automation solutions and their applications.
