The American Michaela Jaé ‘Mj’ Rodríguez won the Golden Globe last Sunday for the best actress in a television drama for her role as Blanca, a mother and nurse in the FX series ‘Pose’.

It is the first time that a transgender artist has won this award. It is also the first Golden Globe to win ‘Pose’, which premiered in 2018.

Rodríguez already made history last year, following becoming the first transgender interpreter to be nominated for an Emmy, in the category of best actress, although she did not manage to win the award.
