Chennai: MK Stalin said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the adopted son of Tamil Nadu. He is also a fan of Dhoni. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister also requested him to continue playing for Chennai Super Kings.
Stalin’s frankness was witnessed by Dhoni at the inauguration of the Tamil Nadu Championship Foundation, which was started under the Sports Department. “Like everyone in Tamil Nadu, I am a big fan of Dhoni. Recently I went to Chepauk Stadium twice just to watch Dhoni bat. I hope that the game will continue for CSK, the adopted son of our Tamil Nadu.’-Stalin said.
Dhoni is an inspiration to lakhs of youngsters. He became a national icon through hard work from a small family. Stalin added that we should create many Dhonis from Tamil Nadu not only in cricket but in all sports.
Apart from Stalin and Dhoni, ministers Udayanidhi Stalin and Thangam Thennarash were also present at the ceremony held at the Leela Palace in Chennai. The Chief Minister’s Trophy was also unveiled at the event. Stalin announced Dhoni as the ambassador of TN Championship Foundation.
