Venezuelan catcher Keibert Ruiz will continue to serve the Washington Nationals, after both parties agreed on the details of an 8-year deal that includes two club options that could bring a total value of $50 million, according to the sports columnist Barry Svrluga.

The native, who in the previous campaign managed to show a good performance with the capital team, earned the trust of the organization to agree on an extension that will allow him to continue improving and looking for better financial options as he develops his game.
Ruiz, a native of Valencia, Venezuela, posted averages of 99 hits, 7 home runs, 36 RBIs and a .251 batting average with the Nations last season.
It should be noted that Ruiz played with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020 until the 2021 course, when he was traded to the Nationals, a team that has given him the confidence to keep his path together for longer in search of better results in the coming seasons.
