21-year-old American Bryce Duke made the difference with his first professional goal in the 64e minute. He took advantage of a perfect stint from Leonardo Campana to give his team the lead.

The latter had also reset the counters to zero on the 28e minute for the Florida club. On loan from English side Wolverhampton, Campana entered MLS in the best possible way, hitting the target six times in just nine games.

The meeting had however started well for the visitors. Mexico’s Ronaldo Cisneros took advantage of a corner kick to score his first career goal on the Garber Circuit in the 13e minute.

It was a frustrating loss for Atlanta United, who led their rivals in shots on target (seven-to-two) and possession (64%).
