MLS: Charlotte FC takes revenge

Eliminated by the New York Red Bulls during their participation in the United States Cup, Charlotte FC got their revenge on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium, winning 2-0 in a regular season meeting in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The New York formation had indeed won 3 to 1 on May 25 in the round of 16. But this time, Ben Bender and Derrick Jones secured a different outcome by hitting the target on added time in the first and second halves, respectively.

The Red Bulls are however dominant abroad this season; they show, despite this loss, a record of 5-2-1 on the road.

It was also Christian Lattanzio’s first match as head coach. The one who was the deputy of Miguel Angel Ramirez has been acting since the dismissal of the latter.
