MLS: Urruti defines for Austin in win over Minnesota

Maximiliano Urruti scored a crucial goal and goalkeeper Brad Stuver saved two shots in Austin’s 1-0 win over Minnesota United on Sunday.

The Argentine forward contributed the decisive goal in the 58th minute to secure the victory for Austin (3-1-2). Héctor Jiménez gave the assist for the goal.

Stuver stopped both shots aimed at Austin’s goal. United’s Dayne St. Clair did the same, saving two of the hosts’ three shots.

Both teams have commitments next Saturday, when Austin will visit DC United and Minnesota United will host the Colorado Rapids.

In Charlotte, Ecuadorian midfielder Jordy Alcívar and three saves by Kristijan Kahlina guided Charlotte FC to a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United.

Alcívar’s goal came at 11 minutes for the cause of Charlotte (3-4-0).
