MLS: Xherdan Shaqiri with supposed winning goal

The Chicago Fire almost got their first three after seven MLS games without a win. But only almost. Against the New York Red Bulls, Nati star Xherdan Shaqiri scored Chicago’s supposed winning goal to make it 3-2 after 89 minutes.

But in added time, New York equalized, in the end it was 3:3. Captain Shaqiri- highest paid MLS player of all time – had also prepared the goal for the temporary 2:1.

So the negative series continues: Chicago Fire is without a win in eight championship games. They are 14th and last in the Eastern Conference after 12 games and 11 points. (SDA/mou)
